Excursion to the potter of Jbel Saghro

Jbel Saghro start behind Tinghir, it is a mountain chain reaching 2712 m height over 80 Km width. There is a beautiful trail through the mountains from Tinghir and Boumalne or via Iknioun and Tizi n'Tassasert up to Nkob. Two hours after Tinghir there is a plateau with 20 km length and 1 km width, and Thanks to water that comes down from the summits, this plateau is fertile and inhabited. Here, behind the 7 mountains there is clay. With this clay, people are making beautiful Tajines and other objects. Visit the potters of Jbel Saghro and be enchanted and enriched by the beauty of the landscape and people who live there.
You leave Tinghir in the morning with a 4x4 towards the south. After 20 minutes you discover a small village called OUAKLIM. From here the trail climbs a bit and goes through impressive landscapes on Tikit pass. The parsimony of landscapes is really gorgeous. Even there is no much water, there are many animals here even camels. After 20 minutes more, you reach the fertile and inhabited plateau. Here you find the village of potters. Away from tourism there is potter and tea.
